The team from UBI World TV led by UBI President and CEO Regina Leviste-Boulos has called on the newly appointed Consul General of the Philippines in NSW, the Hon. Eva G. Betita, at the Philippine Centre in Sydney. The team also met briefly with Vice Consul J. Anthony A. Reyes.
UBI’s visit aimed to introduce UBI World TV and its premium Filipino TV and Radio Service featuring the global channels of the Philippines’ no. 1 broadcast network, GMA-7, to the new Head of the Philippine Consulate in NSW.
Further, the courtesy call was an opportunity for both parties to discuss ideas on possible projects and areas of support and cooperation, aimed at raising the level of ‘Filipino pride’ among Filipino-Australians, recognising the community’s visible contributions to Australia, and ultimately helping contribute to a more united Filipino community.
