Egyptian National Day, a red-letter day in the Egyptian community calendar, was celebrated last 25 July 2009 with a well-attended dinner gala in Kogarah NSW and with simultaneous events in Melbourne.
A night of celebrating heroism, courage and independence, Egyptian National Day allowed the Egyptian community in Australia to remember the events that made them a proud and free people.
Organised by the Egyptian Council Forum, the main Sydney event was a night to remember, graced by the Egyptian Embassy and Consulate Heads and representatives, Australian Government representatives, prominent community leaders and community businesses.
There were messages of congratulations and remembrance as well as the best Egyptian music, dancing, entertainment and cultural performances for everyone.
UBI World TV, a strong supporter and a major sponsor of the annual Egyptian National Day, was present throughout the event. UBI offers a spectacular suite of premium TV and radio channels broadcasting from Egypt and the Middle East, catering for Egyptian and other Arabic-speaking audiences. UBI’s coverage of Egyptian National Day 2009 will be shown exclusively on ANA, UBI’s in-house produced Arabic TV channel, so don’t miss it!
