Australia’s leading multi-cultural, multi-lingual broadcaster, UBI World TV, celebrated its fifth anniversary on 12 October 2009 with a cocktail event attended by distinguished guests and dignitaries led by the Federal Minister for Immigration and Citizenship, the Honourable Senator Christopher Evans.
The event marked UBI’s many achievements leading up to its fifth year of broadcasting as well as an occasion to renew UBI’s commitment to serve Australia’s multi-cultural communities.
In his speech, Senator Evans recognised the significant milestone in UBI’s service for the multi-cultural communities and extended his wishes for UBI’s continued growth in its aim of bringing information and entertainment to people’s homes around Australia.
UBI World TV President Regina Leviste-Boulos said UBI would continue to make significant investments in creating quality local multi-lingual programming, keeping communities connected with each other in Australia and overseas. She thanked all of UBI’s partners, supporters and subscribers for their continued patronage and support throughout UBI’s five years of broadcasting.
UBI World TV’s newly appointed Chief Executive Officer, Michael Parker, was also officially introduced at the event.
UBI’s fifth anniversary celebration was attended by Ambassadors, Consulate Heads, multi-cultural community leaders, the ethnic media, corporate partners, advertisers and supporters, making it a success and the perfect way to welcome UBI World TV’s next year of providing the multi-cultural communities with the best TV and radio services direct from their homelands.
