Christmas came two weeks early for the Filipino community in the ACT, as ‘Pasko sa Canberra 2008’ was successfully staged in early December at the Philippine Embassy showgrounds.
Hailed as 'the biggest Christmas festival in Canberra' which has made its mark among many Canberrans for the fourth year now, the event was eagerly awaited not only by the Filipino but also the wider multi-cultural and mainstream Australian communities.
'Pasko sa Canberra 2008' presented a Christmas extravaganza with the uniquely Filipino touch complete with cultural performances, food, Christmas décor, proudly Philippine-made products, and services being provided by and for the Filipino community.
