| Breaking barriers, sharing the vibrant Lebanese culture and enriching the wider community’s experience. These in a nutshell embodied what the HYP Fest was all about – an event that aimed to promote and educate the wider Australian community about the essence of the Lebanese culture, customs and its rich traditions. And what better way to achieve this than through the leadership and example of the Australian-Lebanese youth! |

HYP Fest 2009 – short for Harmonious Youth Participation Festival – is now on its third year and has once again lived up to its promise of “refreshing Lebanese culture through the youth”. The event resulted from the continuous work of the Australian Lebanese Welfare (ALW) and has now become a joint initiative with the Australian Lebanese youth and the greater community to promote and celebrate cultural awareness and harmony.
HYP Fest 2009 showcased the unity of the Australian-Lebanese people, both young and old, with the wider Australian community. As envisioned, it embraced all the great things that the Lebanese people have to offer - food, dance, music and culture!
UBI World TV was a proud sponsor of HYP Fest 2009, and through the sponsorship demonstrated its strong commitment to the Lebanese community, who has in turn embraced UBI as the Arabic TV and Radio Service where their hearts belong! |
