Amigos bag NSW Filos Basketball Cup

The sharpshooters and excellent defence skills of the Amigos Mechanical Repairs allowed the team to duplicate their impressive feat, bagging for the second year in a row the NSW State Filos Basketball Champions Cup title.

The Amigos launched a strong opening campaign, building up a 20-6 lead in the first quarter against their nemesis, the JayHawks.

Not to be outdone, the Hawkmen devised a strategy to snake their way into the superior defence of the Amigos, but this proved insufficient. As the game progressed, the Amigos managed to clip the wings of theJayHawks, 36-30, in a tight and bruising second half action. The Amigos proved themselves to be king of the hardcourt!

The other teams that played for the Cup were: MERQUE 1 Entertainers, EASTIES Five, BM Express Aguilas and BELMORE Club.
